"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and thanksgivings be made for all people."
1 Timothy 2:1
Woodland Park Community Church has an active Prayer Ministry. We believe that prayer is the foundation of our Christian life because it brings us into the presence of God and keep us dependent on Him and acknowledging Him.
Are you comfortable with prayer? Whether the answer to that is yes or no, we are here for you. Prayer is really not that hard. It’s just having a conversation with our Father God. And remember, Jesus gave us a template of how to pray…Our Father, Abba, dad, papa. God created you, He loves you, He really wants to hear from you. And whether you prayed just a few minutes ago, or a few years ago, or maybe even never, God still hears every prayer. And He wants to hear yours.
HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU?
WORSHIP SERVICES
INTERCESSORY PRAYER
SOUL CARE
Prayer teams are available at the end of each worship service on Sunday mornings at the front of the church just below the stage. Do not leave our church feeling burdened, troubled, alone, or in need of help. Let us pray with you.
We have a prayer list which is updated every week where anyone can request prayer. You can submit your prayer needs online (click on Prayer Request under the Resources tab at the top of this website) or write them on the prayer request cards on Sunday morning and put them in the boxes at the back of the sanctuary. We have a hundred people that receive the prayer list each week, and we will all pray for you.
If you prefer, you can select the confidential prayer option, and only our pastors and elders will see and pray over these requests.
Perhaps God is calling you to pray? If you would like information about the Prayer Ministry and the different ways we serve our congregation, we would love to connect with you and tell you more! For prayer requests or for Prayer Ministry information, please contact our church office, 719-687-9444.
What if you are in a place where you need relational support as well as prayer? We have a Soul Care Ministry that is available to walk with you through your season of suffering by offering intentional friendship and support. While this is not a formal counseling ministry, our desire is to create a safe space where you can process your pain with fellow travelers who seek to faithfully reflect God’s heart.
